What is a Virus?
A virus is a program that "infects" a computer by piggybacking
on top of another program. Typically it is activated and migrates into other
programs in your PC. Viruses can be used to do many things. Viruses are being
created to steal personal information. Viruses are also used to "open"
your computer so that hackers can gain entry to your computer remotely. Other
viruses can be used to turn your computer into a "zombie" so that
it can be used without your knowledge to participate in DDOS attacks. These
are very real and very serious problems.
